Furniture factory powered by locally produced wind power

The partnership with Bixia means that the equivalent to Spaljisten’s total electricity consumption is produced using wind power from three different wind farms in the local area: Karrydvind, Tångebo Kvarn and Linnérs Vindbruk AB.

Spaljisten is a company that always has the next generation in mind and therefore a strong focus on sustainable solutions. Production is characterised by the most environmentally friendly alternatives available and, thanks to a new electricity agreement with Bixia, the company’s electricity is sourced from local wind power producers, further strengthening its sustainability efforts.

The partnership with Bixia means that the equivalent to Spaljisten’s total electricity consumption is produced using wind power from three different wind farms in the local area: Karrydvind, Tångebo Kvarn and Linnérs Vindbruk AB. Bixia acts as a link between electricity customers and producers, taking care of the administrative details. The electricity customer, Spaljisten, bolsters its branding with trustworthy environmental value and the power producer increases its business opportunities.

“Sustainability is integrated with our day-to-day operations and is completely in line with our business strategies. We want Spaljisten to be a positive and proactive force in these areas moving forward, for the sake of our owners, customers, suppliers and employees, as well as society in general. And so it’s a given for us to use renewable energy in our production,” says Florim Mustafa, CEO of Spaljisten AB, on choosing Bixia as its electricity supplier.

Spaljisten’s production mainly comprises foil-wrapped furniture panels. Everything from simple panels to complete furnishings, with foil wrapping being the company’s speciality. When producing its products, wherever possible Spaljisten uses lighter chipboard and recycled materials, further examples of the company’s ambitious efforts to reduce its environmental impact. Moving forward, the company will also use only locally produced renewable energy!

“Sustainability issues demand continual improvement and our 2025 Strategy and Business Plan highlights the sustainability concept as both a core value and a business strategy, which is why the initiatives we’re now implementing and the choices we make are important,” says Ermal Devce, Sustainability Manager at Spaljisten.

Spaljisten strives to be a proactive partner in manufacturing and development within its product segment. The company lives by its vision: to be a world-class furniture panel manufacturer with the next generation in mind!

“Spaljisten is a customer that works ceaselessly with sustainability and the environment, so it feels great to be able to deliver an agreement like Bixia Nära Exklusiv [Bixia Nearby Exclusive], which matches the company’s high ambitions within sustainability,” says Fredrik Sternér, Bixia.
