Master student with improved traceability as the purpose
Working sustainably is not just about using environmentally friendly materials and avoiding fossil fuels. After all, it is also important to keep high quality and detect quality deficiencies in the product on time. Everyone is working on improved traceability and we expect our customers to have very high requirements in the near future. Therefor we have invited someone to help us.
We are very proud and excited to have the opportunity to work together with a Master's student from Linnaeus University. Nishita Serrao will in her essay analyze the opportunities we have today and suggest improvements
in working methods, data collection and IT systems. Her mission is to develop a Conceptual Design of a Product Traceability System. We want to be able to see exactly from what forest our wood materials come from andwhat our plastic contains that will allow us to place additional demands on our suppliers so that our customers get even better products.
– My thesis work at Spaljisten is regarding the design of a traceability system. By traceability, I mean each product can betracked and details regarding the composition of the product and the processes it has undergone can be traced. I am also studying what would be required to successfully implement thissystem and how Spaljisten can benefit from further digitization of their processes. Nishita Serrao
Nishita, 29, comes from India and her academic interests are mainly related to IT, for example digital transformation and Internet of Things. In her spare time, she likes to read books and when it's not raining, which is rarity in Växjö she confesses, she likes hiking. We hope that she will enjoy her stay in Sweden and at Spaljisten, the weather has a few weeks to improve at least.
