Sustainability - We care

We care for our employees as well as society and comply with laws and all other regulations that apply to our business. We do this through active initiatives related to quality, environmental issues, working environment and safety. Our vision is to be first in choice of foiled fronts where flexibility, quality and sustainability creates customer value. So - what are we doing in our daily work?

The sustainability policy runs through our entire organisation and is characterised in our daily operations by social sustainability, economic sustainability and ecological sustainability. We care for our employees as well as society and comply with laws and all other regulations that apply to our business. We do this through active initiatives related to quality, environmental issues, working environment and safety.

Our focus areas

Within quality and safety:
to meet internal and external customers’ expectations through continuous improvements.

Within environment:
minimise our impact through low resource consumption and by complying with laws, customer requirements and certificate guidelines.

Within working environment:
zero vision for occupational injuries and an open culture focusing on commitment, skills development and well-being.

"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." - This is the definition of sustainable development from the UN.

“For me, sustainability means that the Earth’s resources we have inherited and will hand over to our successors will grow, not shrink. With the help of smart and innovative technology, we can ensure that we constantly get more out and consume less. By consuming less, we create the right conditions for a stable, sustainable climate in the long term.”

Our products

Product made with recycled plastic

We are working to increase the proportion of recycled material in plastic foil, particleboards, and end products. As part of this efoort, we manufacture a kitchen front made with sustainable materials, with foil made from 90% recycled PET bottles. The door is lighter, more scratch-resistant, and more environmentally friendly.

We have a close dialogue with suppliers to use more recycled plastic, particularly from PET bottles, as well as industrial waste. We also strive to increase the amount of recycled wood in our particleboard and reduce material usage.

Sustainability Policy - Surewood

Our ownership perspective is long-term and we value our moral compass. We are mindful of meeting customers, suppliers and employees in a respectful way and contribute positively to the local community in which we operate.

Excerpts from the policy:
Surewood Industries contributes to sustainable development. We consciously and responsibly integrate economic, social and environmental aspects, both strategically and operationally, in order to uphold Surewood Industries values, respect for people, society and our environment / natural resources.

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on how sustainability work should be conducted, of which sustainability must have a clear link to business development and value-creating processes within the group.
