These fingers feels the quality

Carl-Magnus Lundin

This year he has worked at Spaljisten for a full 35 years. A lot has changed since then but some things have remained the same, we still produce fronts for kitchens.

It was on December 1st in 1986 that Carl-Magnus Lundin stumbled through the doors and was to begin his first working day in the factory. It was a familial and pleasant workplace he had ended up in, back then they were around 30 employees at the family-owned company which back then had a much smaller factory. Both the company and Carl-Magnus's role have of course changed and developed over the years, today he is an important part of the the quality of our products in his role as quality controller.

What is the best thing about Spaljisten as a workplace?

- It is a stable and secure workplace. We have an owner and management who are not afraid to invest and they always strive forward. At Spaljisten we spend a lot of time finding innovative solutions and materials, which is exciting.

When we were talking about innovation, Carl-Magnus continues to talk about future materials in our products. He believes that we will see hundred percent recycled materials in a lot of products. Already today our foil and chipboard partly consist of recycled material. It is important to take advantage of waste and give new life to what we have consumed.

When you are not working, what do you like to do then?

- I like to grow for self-sufficiency and have tomatoes in greenhouses and potatoes but I also have a special interest in apples. I actually have 15 varieties of apple trees are in the garden and I have got a mustard machine and like to invite my family and friends for some homemade apple juice.

We are very happy with Carl-Magnus' sense of quality and his solid work with inspections and tests of both raw materials and finished products and we are looking forward to many years to come together.
